East Providence, R.I. (WPRI) – In a time when many businesses across the country are moving their workforce overseas, a Rhode Island based manufacturer is about to add more than a hundred jobs to the state’s workforce.

Over the past seven years, Quick Fitting’s East Providence headquarters has grown rapidly.

What began as a startup plumbing company of just three employees has increased for forty workers.

“We are constantly in hyper-growth.  We are hiring people constantly,” said President and CEO David Crompton.

Within the year, Quick Fittings hopes to add an astonishing 200 jobs.

“When you look at how fast the business is growing it blows us away,” said Crompton.

Crompton credits the ease of his products for the company’s surging success.

He says any homeowner can take a Quick Fitting product and become a do-it-yourself plumber.

“People who have never plumbed before could just snap it together and make an instant connection,” said Crompton.

That connection will mean a move from the company’s East Providence headquarters to a 100-thousand square foot facility in Warwick.

Crompton tells Eyewitness News, the company should be moved into the new facility by June 1st.

He anticipates a 300-percent growth within the next year.
